FAQs
How do I get one? First step would be to print the on-line order form and find a tape measure and protractor. Complete the order form and supplemental measuring form using an existing handcycle as a reference for your measurements. Submit all forms to the provider of your choice and we will send a CAD drawing for you to approve via the provider. Once the CAD is approved, we will build the Force X to these exact specifications and ship per your provider's instructions.
How does the Force X differ from the Force R? Basically, the Force X is totally dialed in and does not have any back angle or crank height adjustments and has upgraded components.
Testimonial from Carlos Moleda, 4 time Hawaii IronMan Triathlon World Champion, Handcycle Division.
"This bike is the most comfortable bike I've personally ever ridden. The radical, luge-style seating is not for the faint of heart but is fast, stable and truly aerodynamic. I can ride about 2 mph faster against the wind on this bike than on previous semi-recumbent style bikes. Overall, this bike scores high points because it will allow those who can't ride a kneeling bike to go faster and be more competitive in a racing environment."
Testimonial from Matt Updike, member of 2008 USA Paralympic Team:
"Top End has come up with a great new design. The new frame construction allows you to sit lower and thus it's more aerodynamic. It's also super stiff so there's little wasted energy with the frame flexing. Combine that with some other new features like the new improved handles, cranks and footrests, it's not only fast, but it's also one slick looking ride."
The new Top End Force R is all about comfort, speed and aerodynamics. It is a missile, a ballistic missile.
Starting at the front, the footrests are curved inward which keep your feet closer to the wheels for a true aerodynamic position. The narrow fork design allows your legs to be closer together minimizing body profile against the wind.
The main frame is built from internally ribbed 7005 aluminum which is custom pre-curved, extruded aluminum tubing with an oval profile making it super stiff for maximum transfer of power. The computer aided teardrop design of the Force R's low-to-the-ground frame is sleek, stable and unbeatable.
In addition, the unparalleled aerodynamic design of the Force R offers an adjustable, lie-down or recumbent position with an easy-to-adjust backrest and crank support. This position combined with our effortless adjustments and breathable mesh upholstery ensures optimum comfort using mostly arm, shoulder and chest muscles.
The new frictionless hand pedals with 7005 aero crank arms make it seem like you are flying because it is so effortless to go fast ... especially with SRAM® components. The 27 speeds operated are by the SRAM Grip Shifter/brake unit and delivers smooth, responsive shifting/braking right at your fingertips. The no cable, virtually maintenance-free manual upper derailleur system takes the guess work out of the chain rings. Control through the turns is super smooth yet fast with our steering dampener system. The 26-inch high performance wheels are outfitted with high-pressure clincher tires and threaded axles.
Other standard features include a drafting bumper, parking brake, and cushions for seat and back. Check out our professional level shifters, cassette, brake and chain ring upgrades and time trial wheel package for maximum performance and speed.
The new Force-2 Handcycle is a great bike at a super price. It is a streamlined version of our popular Force handcycle and is ready to ride. There isn't a handcycle on the market with these great features and quality for less! It has 27 speeds, high-performance wheels, Shimano components and is totally adjustable. Plus it comes with a safety flag, chainguard, seat and back cushions, drafting bumper and a leg guard.
Perfect if you are just looking to get started in handcycling or wanting to do entry level competition.
Available in red or blue, 15" seat width or 17"seat width respectively.
It is also a great handcycle for clubs, schools and teams. For complete details please click on the on-line brochure and/or order form. The Force-2 ships in 5 days and minor assembly required but for a small fee we can do it for you.
The Force is the newest hi-performance handcycle from TOP END. The frame and fork are made with 6061-T6 aluminum . It has a removable fork fork and an adjustable crank housing. The propulsion system features both Shimano and Top End components, and a manually operated derailer that eliminates cables and their maintenance. The fork geometry is similar to the XLT GOLD.
The Force G’s aerodynamic design offers an adjustable, trunk-powered, erect position for low paras, amputees, and competitors who can “gut” it out using abdominal, arm, shoulder and chest muscles.
The center frame construction has an internal rib which reinforces the frame making it super stiff for maximum transfer of power. The Force G’s center frame design also allows for transfers that are easier than any other handycles in it’s’ class. Adjustable back angle (55-90 degrees), back height, leg rests, crank height and fore/aft seat position allow you to dial in your ultimate power position.
Control through the turns is smooth yet fast with our steering dampener system. The 27 speeds operated by the Rapid fire hands-on shifter/ brake delivers smooth, responsive shifting and braking right at your fingertips plus the easy-to-operate, no cable, virtually maintenance-free manual upper derailleur system take the guess work out of the chain rings. The 26-inch high performance wheels are outfitted with high-pressure clincher tires, threaded axles, drafting bumper, parking brake, and cushions for seat and back. Check out our professional level shifters, cassette, brake and chainring upgrades and time trial wheel package for maximum performance and speed.
Can you force the pace? Yes, you can. Get the Top End Force G. You will fly like a jet.
The Force K is a kneeling position handcycle in a choice of three custom, made-to-measure aerodynamic designs.
The Force K Kneeler is used by the most able athletes, while the Force K Para Kneeler is for paraplegics who prefer the kneeling position to that of reclined and the Force K Double Amp. Kneeler defines the kneeling position for amputees.
Just like the rest of the Force Series, the center frame construction has an internal rib which reinforces the frame making it super stiff for maximum transfer of power. What makes the Force K different from the Force and Force G is that it requires detailed engineering measurements which can be viewed on the order form.
